SWIFT beta lab update!

If you've got an idea for a wi-fi enabled multi player game, but don't know where to start, why not check out our updated SWIFT beta lab page on the Samsung Mobile Innovator site! We've created a short video to help explain the concept of SWIFT and updated our example documentation so you can begin to create exciting experiences

SWIFT uses standard web technologies such as PHP, HTML, JavaScript and Java, so developers with web experience can easily make use of the framework.

Multi-player gaming just got easier!
Imagine the scenario - a group of friends come together, each with different wi-fi enabled devices - an Android Device engages the SWIFT framework in a multi-player game session. The other players just need to share the same wifi network (or local wifi hotspot), pop in the device URL and within seconds they can all be playing the same game session together!

Of course it’s not just for multi-player games, as the web server embedded on the device allows its content and services to be accessed from any browser. The devices talk to the Android device running SWIFT through the same wifi access point and it can be used as a central storage point for any kind of personal data, local intranet or file sharing between devices (using the WebDAV protocol).

Check out the video for SWIFT's full capabilities!

To kick-start your development we’ve updated the SWIFT beta lab on the Samsung Mobile Innovator website.
This lab is available for all SMI members, and you can download the SWIFT platform packages and access all the the API documentation, samples and everything you need to get started.

Hot off the presses are the Samsung Casino Game Framework, Gallery Application Guide, Hello World Application Guide  and Samsung Casino Developer Guide.
